Here at Floatistics, we want to you to have the best floating experience, whether you have done this many times or just curiously want to give it a try. We understand you will have questions about many aspects of our service and hope we can answer them to your satisfaction.
What is Floatation?
Floatation is a unique experience to relax your mind and body. It is proven to be very effective for the relief of muscle pain, insomnia, and stress. You will be effortlessly floating in highly-concentrated Epsom salt water. It is the closest thing to attaining zero gravity here on earth.
Who Can Float?
Floatation can be enjoyed by everyone. But to make sure every floater has the best safe and clean experience, we do not allow the use of our pods for: 1. anyone who is under 16 years old; 2. anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol; 3. anyone with infectious diseases (including a cold or the flu); 4. anyone with open skin wounds (including unhealed tattoos or piercings); 5. anyone who is menstruating.
Can I float if I can’t swim?
Yes, you can! The pods aren’t deep enough that you would need to swim. Also, the large quantity of Epsom salt allows for everyone to float effortlessly.
Can I float while pregnant?
Yes, and it is actually reported that floatation helps relieve back pain during pregnancy. However, we would recommend you to consult your obstetrician first.
Can I float during my period?
Sorry, we don’t allow anyone who is menstruating to use the pod.
Can I float if I’m claustrophobic?
The Nebulae pods are designed to be used even with the hatch open and the Starlight pods are more than large enough for the floater to fully stretch their limbs and it even allows a couple to float together. Also, you can choose to float with the lights on.
Can I float after dying my hair?
We recommend you to wait at least a week after colouring to use our pods.
Does the salt water affect my skin and hair?
Unlike the sea water which wrinkles the skin, the Epsom salts in our float pods are good for your skin, making it smooth and silky.
What is the temperature in the pod?
The water will be usually kept a little lower than body temperature at 35 °C (±0.3°C). And it is adjustable by personal preferences.

About Our Spa
How do we keep our floatation pods clean?
Between each session, our pods are sanitised by UV rays. The water is filtered and treated with hydrogen peroxide (no chlorine), which is much more effective than any other sanitizer in the market. We also routinely monitor and clean our rooms to make sure everything is perfect!
Are the sessions covered by insurance?
Most insurance plans cover Hydrotherapy, which includes the category of floating under the guidance of an RMT. Currently, we are working on the details to make our services qualified and will keep you updated.
How many pods do we have?
We have 6 top-of-the-line floatation pods, 4 of the Nebulae and 2 of the Starlight.
Do we offer anything other than floating?
We are planning to offer massage therapy in the future. Meanwhile, we also have some refreshments for your enjoyment after each floating session.
